Well, unfortunately, there was one change that I'd made that I thought was harmless. When I came back to P K this week, I found that there was a bug somewhere in the choosing character stage. After a lot of trial and error, I discovered that the issue had something to do with the first player choosing. The second player could choose whoever they wanted, but the first player had to stick with the Fire Squid. After that, I discovered that it was more specific than that. The first player couldn't change character at all, including circling back to the Fire Squid, so I then knew that it had something to do with the logic of pushing the over key. As it turns out, I'd implemented an optimization suggested to me by Matt Haas that had a little too much math for one line. I've since decided that the changes necessary to make it manageable for one line aren't worth saving one line (which is all this optimization will be doing at this point). It was a really cool way of doing it, but in the end, it's not going to help much. Oh well. I've kept it (commented out) because I like it too much to take it out. And I have also added one more feature to the game. The names of the characters now appear under them when you have the arrow over them during the selection screen. That was fun! I ended up getting a few slight glitches, but I've worked them out. Now, I'm just trying to think of more things to add. I'll let you know if I do!

-Also, I did decide to actually look to see if Portal Kombat was an already used idea, and of course, it was. WHY CAN'T I COME UP WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL!!! Apparently, there's some video or something called that. I hope I don't run into any copyright issues. +Also, do you remember how last week I said that I'd accidentally forgotten/procrastinated on our only project for this semester? Well, it turns out that I received a blessing from Haas. He extended the deadline to Thursday! With the extra time, I easily fully wrote and completed the files for the main puzzle as well as the bonus puzzle! But guess what happened? I decided to step away from it after I'd finished so then I could come back and do some final editing to make it look nice. Unfortunately, my mind did not return to pct0 until 1:30ish AM, and so I __**//STILL//**__ ended up turning it in late. Since so much of my grade hangs on projects, and I just lost a significant portion of those points, I'm going to see if I can get a bonus project to make up for it. It's worth a shot! I kinda want some project with assembly since we haven't had a project on that, only some in class stuff where we were copying someone else's work. It would a be nice challenge to have to come up with something on my own.

 +That's all for now, folks!
